... unprotected sex with my husband and the pill wasn't working forgot all the time so I was unprotected then started the ring. I just took it out about five days ago and haven't had a period like I'm supposed to. I know pulling out is totally ineffective... What are the chances that not having a period could mean pregnancy while my ring is out ? Also if I were what effect could this have on the pregnancy? Permanent damage?
You can start any of the seven days it is out, even the last one. If you dont have a period at all this week, go ahead and do a home pregnancy test on the last day. If it is negative, insert another ring. If it is positive then, well, your pregnant. The hormones wont have much effect on the baby. While it is not good to use unneeded chemicals when you know you are pregnant, using this one before you realize you are pregnant hasnt been known to hurt the babies at all if you stop as soon as you find out that you are pregnant. It is possible to skip a period now and then when you are on birth control hormones. Did you have a period when you started the Ring?
