Diagnosed with severe depression anxiety and I'm irritable very often. I have trouble staying asleep so I get 4-6 hours a night and I'm tired all the time which was why bipolar was ruled out but I've also been diagnosed with hypogonadism and the Testosterone Cypionate has helped some with the depression but now I'm not tired after several days of less than 5 hours sleep in a row and I find myself starting projects and have become noticeably more out going but still get mad easy. Should I talk to my psychiatrist about this and could it be bipolar?
Is it bipolar or just coming out of depression? If I were having bipolar problems I wouldn't be tired on 3 hours of sleep. Rather than noticeable more outgoing I would be talking peoples ears off. That's just for being a little on the high side. I spend money in even a minor hypomanic event cost $5,000 to $10,000 bucks in toys or something.
Hi uncle rico
I do not get the high talking everyone's ear off happy manic that is normally seen with bipolar. Or the spend tons of money either.
I am bipolar II and my hypomania is more unnoticeable unless something or someone makes me mad because in hypomania I am very irritable.
I would talk to your psychiatrist about these changes. It is better to be safe than sorry and end up in full blown mania or a mixed episode which is what happened to me.
