I had my first depo shot on May 18th I was supposed to go back to get my next shot on August 18th but I forgot about it and missed it. I have been having unprotected sex couple days after I missed the shot without realizing I had miss the shot. I started my period 4 days after missed shot. I am 20 year old who has uncontrolled type 1 diabetes and I am terridied that I could end up pregnant.
You got your shot on May 18th, so your next shot was due no later than August 17th.
There is a small chance of pregnancy, yes.
Stop having unprotected sex, & do a pregnancy test before you get your next shot.
When you get your shots, try to go for them somewhere between weeks 11-12, to be safe. If they won't give them that early, then aim for as close to week 12 as you can get, & this will allow for anything that crops up & stops you getting there.
If you get a positive urine pregnancy test, you'll need a blood test to confirm it, as it's common to get false positive urine tests when using Depo Provera.
Overall, it's a small chance of pregnancy, so don't worry, & just tighten up on the guidelines in future.
