The side effects from the steroids are out of control. I have trouble going up stairs, my leg muscles have really atrophied. I can't get out of the tub any more. I get claw like hand and foot spasms. Tremors in my hands. Bp 122/94. Anyway, I read about the potential life threatening infections and I worry. My doc said it has been very well tolerated by his patients and he has had patients respond after just one dose. I really need to hear from you. How are you tolerating it? It's such a big decision.
Hi! I am starting Actemra next week for the same conditions you have however I have been on prednisone off and on since 2004 and only learned about Actemra when switching rheumatologists. I was wondering if you went ahead with the Actemra and if so, how are you doing? I've read two recent studies where 100% of the participants went into remission within 3 months. Thanks for your time!
