I am trying to find something effective to treat this other than using prescription drugs. I am wondering about concocting a combination of melatonin, hops, l-theanine and gaba but don't know if it is ok to take something like this every night. Do any of you have any suggestions? Anything to avoid taking the drugs and dealing with the side effects!
Have you been properly diagnosed with plmd? How do you know it's 1 1/2 hours after you fall asleep & is it the same every night? I have rls and during a sleep study I was told I have severe plmd where I wake about every 10 seconds all night... I didn't even know I did this! I would consult with a doctor, naturopath or pharmacist before mixing anything. I take Mirapex and it works great, nothing "natural" has ever helped me with this or insomnia. Hope you find something to help you.
