Im a 27 year old single mom dealing with ADD, Bipolar Disorder and Addiction. Ive been an addict for about 6 years. Pain pills being the drug. I cant seem to find much info about any free or low cost suboxone treatments. I dont have any family or friends that can help me. I cant live like this anymore but I cant afford the treatment. I've got everything I need for the complete treatment, theripist, support groups, help lines ect. Can anybody suggest any kind of financial assistance that will help me with the cost of suboxone?
Call a few pharmacies, sometimes they have an inside line on programs in your area. Call all the drs in your area and ask how much they charge for the induction and office visits. The fees vary, and you can find a list of drs on suboxone.com with their here to help program page. At AA meetings, you may meet someone who identifies as an addict who may know of resources to help you. Hope this helps.
Hi Scream. Check out the suboxone website as they sometimes have coupons.
Please don't take this wrongly but battling the dependence for this long would probably mean you may need more of the pain pills then the doctor prescribes. Are you also spending money to purchase meds elsewhere?? You could try to start at a low dose of subs so it could be closer to $10 a day for subs.
Hi - you say you have a therapist and support groups lined up - have you asked them to lower their prices and for any ideas they might have? You probably have, but sometimes we overlook the obvious, so I thought I would ask. Pray sweetie, pray. You might also want to check with churches in your area, or with Catholic Charities. They run the show for all the churches where I live. Keep on praying - God has a way for you to do this. God bless you -
