i was recently diagnosed with ITP. usually when my platelets would drop to a very low count i would get patechiae on my legs and ankles. my question is, what is an around about number on what my platelet count is when patechiae appears? i would like to know this for the fact of i want to know when my platelets are TOO low.
Hello :) I have been dealing with Chronic ITP for the past 6+ years. When my levels are 10k or less, I have severe fatigue (clumsy, bump in to furniture), excessive bruising, patechiae, nose bleeds, and blood blisters all inside my mouth. I also struggle horribly with menorhaggea (menstrual bleeding/hemorhagging). For me, the patechiae usually appears when my levels are somewhere in the 20k range.
