we had sex on feb 3 at 8pm. i will buy the pill around 1 pm today. which will be 17 hours. can the pill still work even if you are getting your period or got your period? im suppose to get my period last month jan, but i am now about a week late. i dont know what to do ! ive taken plan b pills 3 times over the last 3 months. im scared. ive been bleeding but very little today. can i still take the pill even if i think i have my period or have my period? will it work?
Plan b is NOT birth control. The reason your periods are messed up is because you have taken Plan b several times in the last few months. One dose of Plan b can mess up your period for several months. If you are going to be sexually active, you need to use a form of birth control, NOT Plan b. Plan b is for very occasional use, like in the event of a condom break. You need to see a family planning Dr or gynecologist to put you on the Pill. This will be much easier on your body and less stressful for you-not to mention cheaper. Plan b is a large blast of hormones. It is better to take a smaller amount of hormone each day (like you do with birth control pills). Plan b may still work for you but you are really messing up your cycle.
