My boyfriend came to visit me and the condom broke while we were having sex, I took a Plan B just minutes after sex (had one just in case this happen) and I believe it was during ovulation week. I'm scared that I am pregnant. I'm having symptoms of cramps and bloating and bout to get period this week (January 11) please reply ASAP
Plan B can only work if you're not already ovulating, as it delays ovulation until the sperm leaves your body. If you are already ovulating, then it can't do its job. You need the different emergency pill, Ulipristal Acetate, or to have an IUD fitted by a doctor, either of which you have up to days after the unprotected sex, to go & get.
If it's now too late to do this, then you'll just have to hope you weren't exactly on ovulation when you had sex. Do a pregnancy test if you don't start your period on time. It could just be a side effect of the Plan B.
