My boyfriend and I had sex last night for the first time unprotected. It was only for about 10 mins he didn't cum and I did but he probably did pre cum. My last period started on the 23rd and ended on the 31th(of October). Should I take a plan B pill because I know you can get pregnant rom pre cum im just not really sure what I should do.
Yes you should take Plan B. Alternatively, you can have an IUD fitted as emergency contraception, & that can be left in place for future protection.
Plan B should only be used once in any one cycle, as even one dose can cause you lots of hormonal side effects, such as spotting/bleeding, cramps, nausea, back ache, tiredness, depression/mood swings etc. & is likely to knock your cycle out for a couple of months. It's a big dose of hormone for your body to handle.
You might bleed after using Plan B, but not always. You might find your actual next period is then late by a week or too.
Plan B won't offer you any protection against sexually transmitted diseases.
