Hi 4 or 5 months ago i took the plan b and it works i got my period to the very next 2 days so today me and my boyfriend we hava sex and he didnt pull out so after that we when to the pharmacy to get the pill (plaB) so i was wonder if this time is gonna work my period suppos to come on the 13th of this month but my question is if the pill is gonna work this time?
The bleeding you got after taking Plan B the first time was not a period. It was hormonal bleeding brought on by the Plan B.
Sometimes you bleed after taking Plan B, & other times you don't. It's not an indicator of whether or not the drug has worked for you.
It is very normal for your period to be late, after using Plan B, whether you bleed after taking the drug, or you don't. Some women find their period is weeks late.
No one can tell you for certain, whether or not the Drug will work to prevent pregnancy. No method of contraception is 100% guaranteed.
Plan B is more effective the sooner you take it after unprotected sex. If taken within 12 hours of sex, it is most effective. After that, it gradually becomes less effective.
It sounds like you need to get some long term contraception sorted out, as Plan B is a huge dose of hormone for your body to handle, & should only be used in emergencies.
You could see your doctor to have an IUD/Coil fitted within 5 days of the unprotected sex. That is another form of emergency contraception, & it can also be left in place as longer term contraception. It's a quick & simple procedure, & would provide extra protection.
