I took a plan B pill a week ago and i started bleeding two days ago like if i were on my period. So me and my bf had sex today in the morning i was obviously bleeding while we had sex. Is there any chanses of me getting pregnant still?
The bleeding you had was just break thru bleeding from the plan B. You are at risk for pregnancy any time you have unprotected sex. You can get pregnant when you have your period. Why not take the birth control pill instead of depending on plan B. Plan B has a 20% failure rate. The birth control pill has a 1% failure rate.
yes, Plan b doesnt "cover" you for days. You return to fertility quickly. Just because you are bleeding doesnt mean you are not ovulating so yes, there is just as big a risk for pregnancy as any time you have unprotected sex. Bleeding has no bearing on ovulating, you can still ovulate even when you are on your period, so having sex while you are having your period is no guarantee you wont get pregnant!
They are right, ANY unprotected sex can result in pregnancy. It does sound like the bleeding is from the plan B you took. It messes with your cycle and ovulation for a few weeks. One of the most unreliable beliefs is that you can't get pregnant while on period. It IS possible. After having a "scare" enough to take plan B so recently, why in the world would you put yourself back in the sme situation. You were smart enough to use computer to find information about this, so I tend to believe you know how important it is to protect yourself at al times. There are so many forms of birth control available today, there is no reason for a pregnancy unless you want it. If its too much trouble to protect yourself, is being sexual what you need to be doing?? This is a very serious thing. Please be responsible and make birth control a top priority.
