I had sex twice and took the Plan B immediately. I have been cramping as if my period is fixing to come
Plan B is less reliable than regular hormonal birth control. It's simply worth a try in an emergency. Better than leaving it to chance. I see lots of women on here who become pregnant despite using it.
Plan B works by delaying your ovulation until the sperm leaves your body. If you're already ovulating then it can't do that, & you'd need one of the other methods of emergency contraception.
It's a huge dose of artificial hormone for your body to deal with. You may get lots of hormonal symptoms, such as those you might get with any hormonal change in your body, such as periods, pregnancy, menopause etc.
As everyone is different, it's impossible to know if it'll work for you.
One of the factors is whether you were in your fertile window (ovulation & the week leading up to it), as to whether it's likely to work.
