It would be impossible for anyone to say that Plan B worked without doubt, because in order to know that, they'd have to know for certain that they would have otherwise become pregnant. No one has that insight.
Plan B is tested so that the manufacturers have been able to determine that it works up to 72 hours (3days) after unprotected sex. If you need protection 4 days or even 5 days after unprotected sex, then you should ask for either EllaOne tablet, or have a coil/IUD inserted.
In every case, whatever type of emergency birth control you decide to use, you should get it as soon as you possibly can, to try to avoid pregnancy, as no method is 100% guaranteed to work.
