So I'm 18 and my boyfriend and I had sex and the condom broke, We didn't relize it did until after he came in me. He thrusted almost the whole time, don't know if that plays apart.
I start ovulating tomorrow. Within the hour of having sex i jumped in the shower washed myself and then got the pill. I have been feeling a little weird in my abnoman. However, do you think this plan B pill will actually work??
I am a virgin but we have done a lot of oral sex in the past. So I think my "cherry" is popped kinda freaking out!
Well, it seems that you took the pill at a good time. It's more effective the sooner you take it. A side effect of the pill is that you get abdominal pain and so on but it shouldn't last for long. Plan B contains a big hormonal dosage, so it will effect your body in terms of delaying or making your period come sooner & other side effects such as headaches, dizziness, fatigue, spotting, & a few more. When I took it, I didn't have many of the side effects and it is completely normal, I had spotting and abdominal pain thats all. Plan B should work in your case since you took it sooner though
As you don't say when this happened, it's hard to know if there was enough time for Plan B to delay your ovulation.
Unless you're monitoring your ovulation signs (temperature, cervical mucus changes & cervical position/opening, then the ovulation guides are just that. It can vary between women.
Some people think that Plan B works in other ways, but the Manufacturer's website does not claim that. It's purely down to being able to delay your ovulation.
If you want to be safe, you can get a doctor to fit a coil/IUD within 5 days of the unprotected sex, & that can act as emergency contraception, preventing implantation.
