Plan B isn't as reliable as regular birth control. There's more chance of it working the sooner you take it.
If you take it within 12 hours of the unprotected sex, there's around a 10% chance that you will still get pregnant.
At the latest time it can be taken, which is 72 hours later, there's then around 25% chance you'll become pregnant.
You are also at risk of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), even if neither of you have symptoms. You might want to get checked out.
