Okay so on valentines day my boyfriend and I had sex for like the 3rd time, we were very careful because we used a condom, right when he was about to pull out we noticed that their was a hole because when he started ejaculating it was just squirting out, it happened around 2pm and i took plan b at like 7pm, Im really scared because my period is suppose to come on the 26th and if it doesn't then im convinced that I may be pregnant, having a kid right now isnt an option because where both very young like where only a year away from finishing high school, I've done alot of research and I even called Plan B costumer service but idk im still a bit shaked up, so would plan B work and how effective is it if taken within 5 hours ? :(
I never saw such a case of borrowing trouble. Your period due date is six days away and you're already worried what if you don't get it. The sooner after sex you take plan B the better. You're period may be late too, but that would be a side effect of the plan B. Some alternatives for you are a spermicide with the condoms, that would give you protection if the condom leaks, or a form of hormonal birth control that is almost 100% effective.
You are worrying unnecessarily. You've done everything right & I really don't think you're at risk. I know that there'll always be someone for whom the precatutions fail etc. but I honestly believe you're worrying over nothing, in this situation.
Plan B may make you very hormonal for a couple of weeks, & it's even made me feel like I'm having pregnancy symptoms because of that (you may have changes in your discharge, not get your period on time, have tender breasts... all sorts of hormonal symptoms), but it is very effective as emergency birth control. so effective that your body goes through a lot of these hormonal changes, when trying to rebalance itself.
If you want to be ultra sure then you can ask your Doctor to fit a coil, but I really think you'll be ok.
As with Kaismamma's suggestions, you can add extra protection in future. Spermicide is one of those. You could also use a diaphragm/cap as well as him using a condom. Worth looking into, as you can be shown how to put that in yourself, before sex, & how to use it effectively (it has to stay in after intercourse for a number of hours).
Hope that puts your mind at rest.
