Had sex then used plan b and a heavy period one week later... since I have not had a period for 6 months and suspected menopause. Something about plan b had started my cycle again instantly. Then one week after my first period I had unprotected sex followed two days later by anther heavy period. Very odd- I was going to take another plan b but that hardly seems necessary as I can't imagine how I could be pregnant wth repeat uturan sheds. However the ovulation after a first period would be close enough to think again- could I be ovulating and having a period?
Plan b is a large blast of hormones and can do all kinds of strange things to your body. Why are you messing around having unprotected sex at your age? You should know better by now. Plan b is not very effective and you still have up to a 30% chance for pregnancy still. If you are sexually active and worried about a late in life baby, see a gynecologist and ask what your birth control options are and they can test to see if you are even still ovulating yet. The bleeds could have been from the Plan b stimulating your cycle. If they test, and you are not ovulating anymore then no worries but if you are, you may want to consider something like a diaphragm. Plan b is just too risky to rely on other than in an emergency like a torn condom or rape etc. Not because you just didnt want to use protection.
