- plan b, emergency contraception, pharmacy, sex, ovulation, condom
I had sex with my boyfriend on July 2 at around 10-11 PM. The condom broke within that time and he ended up coming inside me. We immediately rushed to the nearest pharmacy and got a Plan B. I took the pill at around 12:30 am. In the day, I checked my calendar and realized that I was at the peak of ovulation.
I am trying to avoid pregnancy. What are my chances of getting pregnant given that I was at the peak of ovulation but took Plan B right away?
Quite high, in all honesty. Plan B is said by the Manufacturer to only work by delaying ovulation. If you were already ovulating then it can't do that.
Some people think that Plan B may work in other ways, but it's not claimed by the Manufacturer.
You may be lucky. It's just a matter of waiting until you can do a pregnancy test.
