I had sex on the 5 day of my period and the condom broke. So I got the plan B pill within like 12 hours of sex. I then less than a week later got my period again for about 3-4 days. It was like a normal period. But I was supposed to get my period 5 days ago. I'm a lil freaked that the plan B didn't work. An I'm not sure if I need to go take a pregnancy test or if this is normal.
This is very typical of Plan b. Usually women will take it and get a bleed about a week after (but not all women get this bleed-it is fine either way) then the next period is usually delayed. More than likely, your period will return to normal next month. If it doesnt then you can test. When using condoms, dont use a condom that has been in your boyfriends wallet for God knows how long. Body heat (or any heat) breaks latex down and makes it weaker so it makes it easier for a condom to break when being used. Keep condoms in your purse or in the bedroom in a drawer. Better yet is to get yourself on a reliable form of birth control like the Pill, Implanon/Nexplanon, Depo Provera, Nuva Ring etc as they are all around 98-99.9% effective. These contraceptives are much more effective than condoms or even Plan b which are about 70-80% effective.
