April 18 2015 I was raped by a family member. We called the police and I ended up going to a Crisis Center. There, they ran tests, which we are still waiting on the results for, and they gave me a plan B pill. Before then, my period was on April 7 2015 and lasted it's normal four days. After taking the "morning after pill" I bled for three days very heavily. Which isn't normal, but my doctor said that it was from the pill. She told me my period should come on its regular time or maybe a few days later. I expected it to come around May 8 but it never came. My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive, but after the accident I couldn't stand wondering who the baby would belong to. So now we are still trying. My period hasn't come and it's June 10 2015. My period was due June 7. Our hopes are still positive, I've had symptoms of ovulation on the correct days and have had pregnancy symptoms. But I've taken two Dollar General pee tests that both came back negative. I don't know what to do. We've been trying for months. So did the pill mess with my fertility? Or were the tests inaccurate? I really do believe I am pregnant, but I'm not sure if it's my hopes being so high. Please help me.
Plan b wont mess with your fertility per say. It delays ovulation but it often causes irregular periods in the month or two after. If you are late and the tests come up negative then you probably are not pregnant but it is just Plan b messing up your cycle. Plan b is a large blast of hormones designed to delay ovulation so you dont get pregnant. It can cause side effects that are very similar to "pregnancy symptoms" like bloating, sore or tender breasts, your breasts may feel fuller due to fluid retention, cramping, nausea, headaches etc. If you dont start your period soon, you should see your GYN for confirmation as to whether or not you are pregnant. It may yet be too early for the pregnancy test to pick up the hormone they are looking for in "pregnant woman pee"
