My wife is on BC but is also on the end cycle of antibiotics for strep throat. We were told that the antibiotics could weaken the BC... During intercourse I exited prior to ejaculation. But, to be on the safe side, no more than 2 hours after intercourse she took the Plan B pill... With the combined current use of BC and taking the Plan B, and exiting prior to ejaculation, what is our opinion of likelihood of pregnancy?
Using a condom would have been a better option than adding an extra blast of hormones into her system along with the hormones she is already getting. It can cause her to have side effects from the high doses of hormones when taking both Plan b and regular birth control pills. As far as pregnancy, likelihood is low but if this would happen again, use a condom rather than Plan b for sex while on antibiotics and BCP's.
