I can only answer from personal experience, but I've found when I'm not eating enough calories or balance that's when the cravings start. I use an app to track my calories and you can set how much of those calories you'd like to come from protein, fat and carbs as a guide. Drink plenty of water (I'm drinking about 3 litres) and also started excercise.
