I started 30 mg phentermine 3 days ago. I'm 57 5'7" and 179 lbs. GW is 140.I've read pages of reviews. Some say force yourself to eat small meals and some are eating as little as 500 .calories. My problem is I'm terrified of eating anything thinking it will ruin the effects of the drug. I get hungry but won't let myself eat! I only get it for3 months so I have to make the most of it.
Do you only get it for three months only or is a continued prescription contingent on achieving a certain weight loss percentage as a goal (like with Contrave) or is it an insurance issue? Losing 13 pounds a month does not seem to me to be a realistic aim as it is around 7% of your total weight or 22% in 3 months (success with Contrave for example is considered to be more than 5% in 3 months) Not eating at all is not very healthy and is likely to put your body into a slow metabolic 'conservation' mode. Clearly a low calorie diet is desirable but you need to have sufficient blood sugar and energy to exercise to promote weight loss. Simple appetite suppression may not be enough.
