I have just now been prescribed topirmate 25mg for migraines. Can I take both the phentermine and topirmate? I would not take them at the same time though. The topirmate I take at bedtime and the phentermine I take during the day. Is this OK??
Hello jbuchanan and welcome to DC. Because phentermine is associated with such side effects as increased or elevated blood pressure... I am wondering if that isn't making your migraines worse? You didn't mention how long you have been taking phentermine but just know that it is meant for short-term use. If you are at a point where you are feeling more empowered and know what to do and what not to do... you might be able to continue your journey of developing and maintaining a healthier lifestyle on your own.
I personally don't like the combination but that is just me. I have lost 92 pounds using the 6-week body makeover by michael thurmond. It took me a combined total of 9 months to do this and I continue to eat that way today. I like this alternative because while you develop and break old eating habits... there is nothing to change at the end of it. You are continuing to eat the same types of food and you are cooking and making everything you eat. This was new to me but I have to tell you that after everything I have tried... this plan made "sense" to me and seemed logical, healthy... doable and really "possible" for me to follow.
I wish you well on your journey to a healthier you.
