Have you tried 3M silicone tape? It works well in those with very sensitive skin. I personally really like Hypafix and I think you will too. It is very flexible, adheres well and is very gentle on the skin. It is made by Smith and nephew, you can find it on their website so you can see if it is something like anything you have tried. I think it will hold better than a belt. It is like woven cloth that adheres to the skin. It bends and flexes with you without losing it's "stick". I used to work in a wound healing center and we used it a lot for people sensitive to tape. When my oldest son had to have a nephrostomy tube at age three (It had to be in for three weeks too), I secured that sucker well with hypafix because I didnt want to have to have my baby go back to surgery because he pulled his tube on MY watch! You can even tape a joint (knee, elbow, etc) and it will sty right in place and flex and bend with the joint. Your insurance may cover it too. Drugs.com wont allow a link but if you copy and paste to your browser, you can look at the website. www.smith-nephew.com/professional/products/all-products/hypafix/
Truly for anyone who has to tape something often this is the stuff! I've used it around colostomy bags, used it for wounds, I've used it to secure IVs in folks who are tape sensitive. It is pricey if you have to pay for it yourself but it will stay stuck. You can even shower and it can stay stuck (as long as it doesnt soak too long in water) I sound like a sales person for this stuff but I am not. It is just one of the best products I've come across. If you havent tried it, do so before doing the belt.
