Hi my boyfriend has peripheral neuropathy and he uses salonpas patches and the roll on it has lidocaine and it gives him some relief and he also uses tens
I use Gabapentin for Peripheral Neuropathy in my feet and hands.
I have used multiple creams on my legs to try and get relief and have found Theragesic to be one of the best over the counter however I know my husband's doctor gave him a prescription medicine that seems to work miracles fur him so you might ask your doctor if the over the counter meds don't help. I hope things get better soon.
Certainly, lidocaine 4% cream is immediately helpful if it's bad enough to disturb your sleep. The problem is it wears off after 2 hours and the burning returns. It's also pricey.
I've found the cheap sunburn relief gel from Wal-Mart with .8% lidocaine and aloe vera is just as good if you swab it on thick and let it air dry before getting under the sheets.

Thought I would let u know the cream my husband got from his surgeon was a cream that was specially made it was a combination of neurontin, lidocaine and multiple other medications but it worked wonders so I would have him ask his doctor and give him some of this info and maybe he will know what it is. It sure wouldn't hurt.
