... pls respond if you do and how you're being treated... severe, deep muscle throbbing in both calves and forearms, 24 X 7, some tingling in one hand, balance probs, severe muscle weekness in those areas only, can only stand/walk short time/distance, unable to write, type without pain becoming severe, but no "traditional" symptoms, i.e. tingling and burning, numbness, etc... anyone?
I suggest you have your back checked, if you have not already. If your posture is out of alignment or if you have a pinched nerve or nerves, osteoarthritis of the spine etc The pinched nerve in my low back at L4 L5 put me in a wheel chair for 2 years because it caused Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. Gabapentin and Amitriptyline helped get me on my feet, but I also dealt with not doing anything that irritated the back, the best I can, such as having to sleep on my stomach with a pillow under my hips. Another thing you might check out, a neighbour of mine was in a wheelchair for 8 years and they thought that she had contacted a virus which effected her neurologically. Her cat scan showed black specs on her spine, but they never really diagnosed it. She started to improve when they finally gave her prednisone. This is not a drug that doctors like to give because of side effects, but it got her walking again.
