I'm 25 years old and iv been married for 3 years. Me and my husband have been trying to have a baby the whole time but nothing yet. My issue is, I haven't had a normal period since I was 18. Until then I was regular. But in the last 3 years iv only had one a year. If you want to call them that. They only last about 8 to 10 hours. Then nothing!! With my husband and I wanting children were getting worried something may be wrong. Please help!!! What could be wrong with me??
Hi Sandra13White, I'm no expert but I do know that in order to have a period you first need to ovulate. You also need to ovulate to fall pregnant. Have you spoken to your GP, he/she is your first port of call where you should be referred on a Specialist or facility who can help you. I have a friend, who, like you, was not ovulating and only a had the very slightest period very very occasionally, so slight that it was faint spotting not a bleed. Thanks to IVF she now has two beautiful children.
There is help and hope out there.
