I've had the nexplanon since june 2014 so almost two years now. Throughout this time I have not had a period except light spotting every now and then which didn't really worry me thinking it was normal. But two days ago my period started, I've had such bad cramps I actually had to buy midol to keep them at bay while at work. I'm worried that I may get pregnant if my periods are start in again and I've read tons of articles about how after awhile your periods will start again but there is no egg released. But I always thought an egg needed to release in order to get a period? Can someone possibly help me?
