About 5 days ago, my boyfriend and I had sex and we used a condom but the condom broke. It was the last day of my period(I was still bleeding) and he ejaculated inside of me. I got scared so I took the plan b pill. Yesterday I started bleeding with dark brown blood, just a little bit and today I have bright red blood, like my normal period. Is this my period or just hormonal bleeding? About two days after I took the pill, we had sex again with no protection but he never ejaculated. Could this affect me?
You'd most likely have been fine had you just taken the pill & then not had unprotected sex, again, but now that you had unprotected sex 2 days after taking it, no one can tell you if you're safe or not. Even the Manufacturer states that you are not protected for any sex that happens once you have taken the Pill.
Plan B is not as reliable as regular hormonal birth control. It's simply worth a try in an emergency. Better than leaving it to chance.
If Plan B DID manage to delay your ovulation (the only proven way in which it's said (by the Manufacturer) to work), then it depends how much it delayed it by. Everyone is different.
The bleeding is common with Plan B, & your periods (assuming you're not pregnant) may be irregular for some time.
You'll need to wait until your period would have been due, had you not taken Plan B, & do an early detection pregnancy test. I'd do this regardless of any bleeding you get between now & then, as it's possible to have bleeding & still be pregnant.
