my girlfriend took i-pill(contraceptive pill) after having sex on 15th april. her normal period date was 28th april. she is already in delay of 4days now. Is there any chance of pregnancy? after pregnancy test if it is found positive then what should we do to avoid that?
The "morning after" pill is not always successful so there is a chance she is pregnant but it could also just be the massive dose of hormones messing up her regularity. Did she bleed after taking the i-pill? If so, she may not bleed "on time" at the same time as normal. Your best bet is to go ahead and do a home pregnancy test. If it is positive, then there are 3 options-have the baby and keep it, have the baby and give it up for adoption or have an abortion. Those are your options. If it comes up negative, it is just the hormones messing up her natural hormones and she will regulate out in time. I would advise you both that if you are going to be sexually active that you find a more reliable birth control method. There are many different methods and one should suit you both.
Just to ease your mind a little, this is only the 1st of May, if she was due on the 28th, then she is only going on the 3rd day late. There are many reason why a woman's period would be 3 days late. But like dzoo said, do a home pregnancy test, and find a regular form of birth control.
