.. 18th. I know for sure on June 17th that he pulled out on time but I'm not so sure on the 18th... we didn't use protection at all so I took plan b on the 18th.. Today's June 27 and i didn't get my period yet, I'm worried if I'm pregnant.. This is my first time taking plan b, is it possible that my period can come late because I already had it in the beginning of the month? Is there anything I can do to induce my period?? Pls help
Plan B could make your period late, but you need to check your dates, as it sounds like you may have been fertile/ovulating when you had sex, in which case Plan B would not work for you. You'd have needed one of the other methods of emergency contraception; either the other emergency pill called Ulipristal Acetate or to have an IUD fitted by a doctor. Either of those things can be effective if done within 5 days/120 hours of the unprotected sex.
Emergency contraception isn't as effective as regular hormonal birth control. It'ssimply worth a try in the event of an emergency/accident.
Most (but not all) women ovulate around the middle of their menstrual cycle. Day 1 of your menstrual cycle is the first day of your period. Most women who have a regular monthly menstrual cycle, ovulate somewhere between days 13 to 17. However, your cervical mucus changes in consistency in the days leading up to ovulation (release of an egg), & can save any sperm you come into contact with (inside your vagina), ready for when you ovulate. This means that you can get pregnant from sex you had up to a week before you ovulated.
You can do an Internet search & learn how to monitor your body so that you know when you ovulate each month.
You cannot induce your period.
My advice for your current situation, is to do a pregnancy test when your period doesn't start on time. There is definitely a chance of pregnancy.
