I ended up skipping my birth control placebo pills and now I have been on my period for 3 weeks while I have been taking my pills. Should I stop taking my birth control pills until my period stops? (I am not having sex, so I am not concerned about getting pregnant. I just want my period to stop!)
No don't stop them, once you've started the pills you don't alter the schedule no matter if you're bleeding or not. Your body felt it had to clean out. You didn't say how long you've been on them. This kind of thing happens most often in the first 6 months of use. If its heavy bleeding or you're concerned, call your dr.
