How low is blood pressure supposed to go ? I know ideally it should be at 120/80 ... or less. But how much less before it is considered too low? Mine has been ranging from 117/75 down to 99/69 once . I've developed an arrthymia over the last few months and have felt really lousy and tired for the most part. Just wondering if blood pressure is running too low and causing symptoms?
Blood pressure normal levels are actually largely variable amongst different people. Keeping a blood pressure log and always use the average of at least 3 test values from the same machine to start to see where your blood pressure falls. If you are having symptoms related to low blood pressure, then it's advisable you make an appointment with your doctor as it may be a symptom of something more serious. Your blood pressure levels are not considered concerningly low, they would have to drop quite a bit more and stay down. You could try taking a salt pill to see if it helps raise your energy levels.
