Can people with congestive heart failure and high blood pressure take metoprolol tartrate?

That would have to be a question for a medical professional. I would not be endorsing slowing down and relaxing and failing heart.

Yes you can take metoprolol with congestive heart failure. The start to take it away if the patient has had a heart attack. Depending on how badly the heart was damaged determines if you are placed on a low dose or taken off altogether. I was on 100mg XL and suffered an AMI or massive heart attack. I have massive irreversible damage and metoprolol is to strong for my heart now.
