yes, it is common. My son took it for a few years and it was worth it. He gained all his growth and is normal sized now. He started it around age 13 or 14 and at that time he had no normal signs of puberty that a boy of that age should. He looked more like a 10 or 11 y/o. Right away we noticed the somatropin working. He began getting signs of puberty and he began gaining height and weight. He was growing almost 1 inch every 3 months for a while there. It becomes difficult to keep them in clothes and shoes!!
