Purely and simply the drug companies and the distributors didn't feel they were making enough on generics. Quite a few old generics have gone up in price and at a ridicules rate. They've been doing news clips about it even, talking to drs who are condemning it. The CEOs of drug companies must have only a wallet where their heart is supposed to be.
