i have been without my cymbalta since friday (today is sunday). i rarely skip a dose because i am scared to experience withdrawals. i hVe been on 60mg/1x a day for 6 years. are there any home remedies or other SSRI's that will help offset the brain zaps and jitteriness? will get my script tomorrow. but, pharmacy closed this weekend before i could get my refill. any advice/help us greatly appreciated
The last thing you want to do is take a medication that is similar to the one you're quitting to "help" with quitting, you'll have horrid overlap and then you'll be faced with the same situation when you want to quit the new one, and you will. These meds are not to be messed with like that. After 6 years you should be on a supervised gradual reduction over a 6-8 month period, as you're finding out, this stuff is nasty, and what you're experiencing now is no where near what you'll feel like in 2-3 weeks from now.
Or maybe I misread and you're not quitting it and just for whatever reason runs out, just stick it out until you get your refill. Not to ask where you would get your hands on the other two you mention, which would make things a lot worse for you.
