attacks and generalized anxiety. It truly helped me feel normal again. I was taking 20 m for years, then 40 because I started feeling extremely anxious. This helped for a short time. Now I take 60 and I feel more anxious and uptight than ever! My memory is shot too! Honestly, I would much rather have good mental health over my memory issues. Any advice or help from anyone who has also experienced this increased anxiety? Also forgetfulness!!!
I have taken Paxil for about 15 years due to panic attacks and generalized anxiety disorder. It sav?

Sometimes the antidepressants run their course after years of being on them. In other words they 'poop out'. It is not uncommon for this to happen. Sometimes even increasing the dosage does not help.
You can try to give it 2-4 weeks of the upped dose to see if it helps. If you are still having symptoms then it may be time to find another med for GAD.
Best to contact your doctor.
Hope you feel better soon.
Deedrah; Yes I also agree with Janie, Sadly as she said after a while some of these poop out and you don't alway get better from increasing the dose. But there are a lot of other medications that the doctor can try. Just try and be patient sometimes the anxiety is worse just from the new medication and the fact that you are coming off of a high dose of Paxil. Just know this is very normal and it well pass too. And you well get back to feeling better best of luck to you and remember you are not alone. This is a very common problem.
