People who take this medicine need to stop to stop temporarily
I think that your referring too the drug Metformin and the interaction between that and the Contrast they use while performing a cat scan is quite harsh on the kidneys and the liver. So to avoid any damage that can happen with the Contrast and metformin together they have you stop taking the metformin for the cat scan and for about 3 days after the scan the also require you to get blood work done usally of liver and kidney function before you can start taking metformin again.
