I put in the Paragard around November 12th or 13th. before that I had the Nuva ring and when I took that out it made my cycle mess up so I had a period for two weeks (because I got the Paragard the week after my period) and stopped bleeding after that. Me and my partner I have been with for about a year decided to not use a condom for the first time, and I cant decide what's going on, if its my cycle messed up or if it didn't work. is there a chance I could be pregnant? because I think if it fell out I would definitely realize it. so if its in it'll work right?

The ParaGard IUD is effective immediately after insertion so I wouldn't worry. Paragard can interfere with your bleeding patterns. This usually settles after 2 to 3 cycles. Have you checked the strings are still in place?
