... them... which always makes me think something is seriously wrong with me! Had one today that started as a bad burning feeling in my chest with a nasty taste in my mouth (?) then of course the pounding heart and sweats. Just curious what everyone else goes through?
I had a pretty bad one on Thursday while at the dentist with my kids, for me I usually get lightheaded and nauseous like I'm going to pass out then comes the pounding heartbeat uncontrollable shaking and sweating and if it's really bad I throw up. Mine have returned with a vengence since a recent blood pressure crisis that I'm still battling, now I'm dealing with anxiety and panic everyday and trying not to allow it to win and turn me into an agoraphobic. Peaceful days to you
Mine start with restlessness and I can't sit still. Something has to be moving - feet, legs, hands whatever and then the heart starts pounding and I feel dizzy. The worst is if I can't get out of the situation that is bothering me as I end up sitting on the floor rocking and crying.
Doctor's appts are so much fun - NOT and those little rooms with no windows are really bad for me.
I stay home as much as I can which is most of the time now.
I used to get real shaky & sweaty. My heart would pound out of my chest and I would start to hyperventilate. My legs would go numb and my face would tingle. I often felt like I was going to faint.
Since being on XANAX I haven't had a full blown panic attack. I could always take a XANAX and it would reverse my symptoms within a minute or so.
