... been since 2000?
Hi that is part of my diagnosis along with bi-polar. The panic disorder can be a disability. I still get them but not as severe as before. people will say its not a disability or its all in your head but I have been to the er about 8 times in the last year, thank God the last time was in October. I take 3mg of xanax xr and it does wonders for me. the problem is once in awhile i get break thru panic attacks and I have tried jobs and what happens is i can work but i get a panic attack and I would call 911 on the job and the ambulance would come. I use to do taxes and accounting and have a client and in the middle of their taxes I would leave and run outside andhave a panic attack. The boss doesnt like it that much when he looses money because every other day I call an ambulance. I am on disability because of this for now. I hope and do believe that one day i will be able to find a suitable job and maybe even come off of disability. I dont mind working, I wish their was a place for people like us to go to every day and do work and people would understand. As it is right now with my income and health insurance and the cost of my meds if i came off of disability I would have to make at least 20-25 dollars and hour 40 hours a week to support myself. The economy is bad and if I take that chance what happens if I get the panic attacks real bad and get fired. I would be homeless, Panic disorder sucks and its real and you are not alone. Let me know how u are doing.
