my friends have been talking about E for a while and i want to try it, but i dont react well to ingesting marijuana, so how will i react to E?
Be careful of E! Over ten years ago I was... yes, a raver with the big old phat pants, metallic blue shirt, spiked hair using elmhurst glue, and to cap it all off, I did quite a bit of E (the next door neighbors were supplying many many people once upon a time). Medications such as Pristiq, Zoloft, and Lexapro make the interaction of serotonin much more effective, slowing things down so that the body gets as much of that particular activation of serotonin as is possible.
E on the other hand works very differently. It is much like a tube of toothpaste (why toothpaste to illustrate the actions of the drug, I have no idea... ) that is squeezed, releasing massive amounts of serotonin all at once (vs. an SNRI or SSRI type drug that would be like just brushing your teeth for a longer period of time, thus making the toothpaste more effective). The big catch really is that once you have squeezed all of the "toothpaste" (serotonin) out, there is no more, and you're left with minimal amounts of something that makes you be able to be happy. While I do suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Pain, I do know that while many of these conditions are a result of my childhood in addition to my brain being simply sick. I cannot however help but wonder how much more severe my issues are due to my excessive intake of E back in 1997 to 2000. I after all was one of those who became unable to get any effect from the drug by 2000.
If you already have anxiety, I can pretty much guarantee that while the problems that you suffer from may or may not be effected shortly after taking the drug, it will however show itself in full force later on in life. It seems like a safe drug, but really is just as bad as a drug can get in many respects, after all, it causes brain damage (even heroin doesn't do that!). It is the very desired effect of the drug that causes the damage.
I can not tell you what to or not to do, as I myself at one point had done my fair share of, well, some pretty stupid things. If I were put back into that period of time, I'm not even sure that I'd would even done anything differently despite the problematic future results. I had PTSD then, and hated reality. I had no desire to live past 28, and as a result lived in the moment. I of course have grown up since then.
I sincerely hope that this is of some help to you and that this helps you make an educated decision, after all, I'm not you and only you can make any end choice. Best of luck!
Our Jeff gave you a great honest answer, and I lived thru the 80's and 90's and remember the style of clothes, hair and parties he is talking about. It made me smile, thanks Jeff, for the memories and you super great answer. DON'T take e or MDMA if you freaked out on pot, even in brownies, you will more than likely freak out and have a panic attack and it takes hours to wear off. It usually has stimulants in it, and those are bad for people who have panic attacks, for the most part, as it tells their brain to be on super alert, and it makes them antsy. Pot brownies should have had a mellow sedating effect, and E or MDMA is definitely going to set your brain to high alert. Patti
