Hard to say. This is really a question to ask your docs. Yes, it is possible that things can be missed by one doc and caught by another or it could be inflammation or lymph nodes. What are they planning to do in follow up?
I would try a radioactive test, I cannot remember the name of it . but and MRI may help , but many soft tissue things do not show up on any x rays, scans, and such. if the Dr can feel it -- he/she should continue to research .
