Hi, I have pancreatitis, and when I have a flare up I cannot swallow anything, pain meds, even water. What's the best way to administer pills. Under tongue? Rectal, gross, but desperate. Thanks
We need to know what it is you're taking to come up with an alternate route, it varies from med to med. That's an interesting problem you have, what happens that you can't swallow, are you so nauseated? I have a friend who has it and I know sometimes she can't keep her medicine down and ends up having to go to the hospital and have an n/g tube put down. I'll see if she has any suggestions for you.
