i have OA of the ankle. ihave been told that there is no cure to it except physical exercises and some pains releavers. I want to know which of the drugs is safer to use - one that will not injury my liver or any other body organs.
A NSAID, like motrin, advil or aleve would probably be best because of their anti-inflammatory properties. All meds have side effects and can cause problems for people in different ways. NSAIDS tend to cause digestive problems. Your doctor is the best person to tell you what you can take. Check with him/her.
This is really a question best answered by your own Dr. There are many different medications out there to choose from and they all have their merits and disadvantages. The trick is finding one that works well for the pain that you can tolerate. It impossible to say one is "safer" than another because one, I dont know anything about your health background and two, nothing is truly "safe". All drugs have dangers, some of them are rare side effects, some are more common but ALL meds have some kind of dangerous aspect and no drug should be taken lightly or considered completely safe, even over the counter drugs.
