Delila is right on with her answer. Believe it or not, I have seen many testicles swollen for one reason or another. The most likely thing it could ne is something called a varicele. If it comes and goes and is painless, usually a loop of small intestine slips in and out of a small opening in your muscles that was there when you were born. This "tract" allowed your testicles to descend out of your body before you were born. If it, the loop of bowel, gets stuck or really painful, I'd call that a medical emergency. Something to think about.
As for your lump, where is it, specifically, near the epididimus or lower. Hard or soft and moveable. Makes a difference. Mostly want I just said is FYI. You really need to see a doc pronto.
Try not to worry, just so long it's only on one side.
