Pain - What is the role of rabeprazole in preventing NSAIDs induced ulcer?

Aciphex (rabeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor it stops the body from making 98% of normal acid. I think NSAID effects the mucus line of the stomach witch in turn allows the Acid to damage the stomach causing ulcers.
